Raised Floor Design as a Standalone Service
A raised access floor system is an engineering solution in which equipment load, underfloor clearance, finish type and fire resistance must align with the facility's purpose. A design-stage error means either insufficient structural margin or unjustified budget overrun.
DIVIO organizes raised access floor design through coordination between a certified engineer and the manufacturer. This is not a template calculation from a catalog — it is the selection of a specific system for a specific facility, accounting for equipment type, load characteristics, ceiling height, fire requirements and finish.
Design can be commissioned as a standalone service — without subsequent installation by DIVIO. This works well when the installation contractor has already been selected but the client needs a qualified engineering component and material specifications.
What Design Includes
Load Calculations
Determination of static and point loads from server equipment, racks, furniture, stage equipment or other elements. Reconciliation with facility layout and client requirements.
System Type Selection
Selection of the raised floor construction for the facility task:
- Panel types: steel-cemented, mineral wool-filled steel, calcium sulfate, perforated airflow panels
- Finish types: antistatic HPL, PVC, carpet, wood, linoleum, porcelain stoneware, specialized antistatic coatings
- Construction types: standard raised access floor systems, systems with ramps for equipment access, stage and podium constructions, systems for rooms with non-standard geometry
- Additional structures: ramps for equipment access and level alignment, raised floor system accessories (grilles, access hatches, perimeter trims, support angles)
Selection is grounded in experience from 120+ completed projects and direct manufacturer relationships.
Material Specifications
Complete specifications for panels, pedestals, stringers, fasteners, finishes and associated elements. Quantitative calculations based on facility area including cutting allowance and waste factor.
Layout Drawings
Panel and pedestal layout drawings, underfloor zoning schematics, ramp plans (where required for rack access or level alignment), and wall and utility interface details.
When Design Is Commissioned Separately
- Independent engineering component — when the installation contractor has been selected but qualified design documentation is required
- Tender documentation preparation — when the client is preparing a tender and needs technical requirements and specifications before selecting a supplier
- Review of existing design — when a design by another engineer needs verification against load and requirement criteria
- Complex facilities — server rooms with high loads, stages, administrative buildings with non-standard tasks where typical solutions are insufficient
- Consultation at the design stage — when the client or their designer is selecting a raised access floor system and wants engineering support in the choice. DIVIO helps select the specific system type and lays down exact specifications with which the facility is then implemented
Why DIVIO
- 12 years of raised floor experience — 120+ completed facilities across Kazakhstan
- Direct manufacturer relationships — design is based on materials and systems actually available in Kazakhstan
- Engineer and factory coordination — DIVIO works with a certified engineer and manufacturer, helping the client and their designers choose the right solution for the facility
- Installation experience — every design decision is grounded in DIVIO's actual installation practice, not catalogs alone
